Your mind and body are always working with each other. Did you know that how you treat your body cannot only affect your mood and motivation, but can affect your ability to stay aligned with your goals?
Let’s break down how a proper diet, getting enough exercise, and sunlight just improve our physical health, but work together to support your mental and emotional well-being to help you reach your goals.
Nourish Your Brain: How Food Shapes Your Mood and Mindset
Food isn’t just fuel. It’s a building block for a better you. Every bite he takes, and the signals to your brain, the influence:
- Your mood
- Your focus
- Your energy
- How you regulate your emotions
- How you handle stress
You’re subconscious mind is heavily influenced by what we feel and experience, but also with how we treat our bodies. If your blood sugar is crashing, or you’re dehydrated, or experiencing a nutrient deficiency, it’s hard to stay positive, focused, motivated, or aligned with your goals and dreams. Never mind taking action to make them happen since Bentley doesn’t just follow the sky and push the start.
Here’s what you can eat to manifest a better mindset:
- Omega-3 fatty acids
These are found in salmon and other fish, walnuts, grass, fit beef, eggs, Chia, seeds, flax seeds, an array of beans and lentils.
These support:
- brain cell health
- Emotional stability
- Reduce anxiety
- Improved mood
- Complex carbs
Whole grains, like oats, quinoa, and brown rice helped stabilize blood sugar. This also ate some stabilizing emotions. If you’ve ever been “hangry”, then it goes without saying how our blood sugar affects your mood, I can make you want to flip over a dinner table.
- Antioxidants and vitamins
Foods like berries, spinach, peppers, and citrus help reduce inflammation in your brain.
B vitamins, zinc, magnesium, and vitamin D and D, support energy, focus, and emotional balance.
Tip: start your morning with a smoothie, packed with fruit, greens, and a healthy fat source, such as peanut butter, avocado, or coconut milk. This house stabilize your mood, support, brain health, taste great, and helps to keep your subconscious mind from taking all before noon. Nut butters can also help you keep full longer.
Always consult with a doctor before adding vitamin supplements not found in food to your diet.
How Exercise Rewires Your Brain
Exercises one of the fastest ways to shift your mood to a more positive one because it alters your brain chemistry in real time. Hear me out.
When you exercise, your brain releases:
- Endorphins(natural mood boosters)
- Serotonin(emotional stability hormones)
- Dopamine(your motivation and reward system)
These “ happy chemicals” help subconscious mind to feel safe, supported and capable to handle the tasks that you need to get done to help reach your goals. All of these are essential for manifesting. How so?
Because when your mind is in a positive motivated mood, you’re more inspired to take actions toward reaching your goals. The more action you take, more positive habits are formed to create consistency, needed to reach them.
Unfortunately, a lot of manifestation coaches teach that if you just focus on things hard enough they fall out of the sky thanks to the universe. That’s not how success is created.
Taking action, motivation, and being consistent towards accomplishing your goals is how you reach them. It doesn’t come from magic or if you journal about it 5×55 times that it will just show up. Things require time and effort. Being in the right mindset supports that.
Let’s examine various types of exercise and how they can prime you for improved manifestation ability.
Exercise Activities for Mental Health and Manifestation
- Cardio
Walking, jogging, cycling, or any cardio activity to get your heart rate going releases endorphins. Does can’t help you clear, mental fog, and being clear about your desires is the first steps of manifestation.
- Yoga and stretching
These practices regulate your nervous system, reduce cortisol, which is distress hormone, and help you to stay grounded. They are exceptionally helpful if you are spending a lot of time at a desk.
A regulated nervous system allows for a more receptive self-conscious. And our subconscious minds become more aligned with our desires. It seeks out ways to make them happen. Seeing opportunities and resources such as an ad for a course to help get that promotion is the basis of the universal law of inspired action that a lot of new age thinkers teach.
It’s not the universe dropping something in your lap. The more you focus on your goals as if they have been accomplished the more subconscious adopts that idea, and we’ll start looking for ways to bring it to life. You’ll begin to notice ways to manifest your goals that seem like “a-ha!” moments.
- Strength training
Lift and weight builds confidence and stamina to do the hard things needed to reach our goals. Completing reps creates dopamine in our bodies, which increases our satisfaction when we accomplish our goals, and boost the motivation to do so. And also reinforces your identity of someone who follows through, and can make things happen.
The more you live in a identity of the person who has manifested your dreams, the more motivated to take action to do so.
- Dancing
Doing these current dance moves from TikTok, isn’t my ministry, okay? I dance in cursive and to the words instead of the beat, sometimes, but I’m happy to be there.
So even if you dance like a malfunctioning, Roomba, know that it boost the dopamine serotonin, which helps to stabilize emotions and increase your motivation.
Taking a 20 minute walk outside is one of the simplest, most effective mood improving habits that you can build because it’s like a “buy one get one” deal. Why? Because getting son has multiple health benefits.
